A KFC along East Nanjing Road in Shanghai, China greeted me with this weird and surreal mural in 2005. Whether or not it’s still around, I don’t know for sure — anyone want to go check it out? Who needs history books when you’ve got fried chicken? That’s what President Abraham Lincoln famously never declared.
However, he did promulgate something significantly more important on this date 150 years ago…
What a crazily kitsch kinda mural – surreal?! However I must say how amazing it is that KFC transformed itself into a place known for fabulous rice boxes in China! Try to get one of those back in the U S of A?!
Are you fan of egg tarts? Every now and then they offer nuanced version, such as ones with papaya and blueberry.
As for the mural, I haven’t been to Mississippi lately…
Wow! Haven’t had egg tarts in awhile but yes – I am! Sounds yum with papaya and blueberry. 🙂
