This Saturday and Sunday (February 20-21) from 10am-4pm, the Del Mar Fairgrounds-Wyland Center in San Diego County, California, will play host to the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo. For those of you unable to attend this food-filled event, fear not, as you will have plenty of other opportunities to check out in other US cities throughout the year.
Besides anticipating a plethora of free samples, you can also listen in on classes to better understand what various dietary buzzwords signify. Gluten? Paleo? Question mark?
This is probably the aspect to which I’m most looking forward. Which is to say, I’m naturally skeptical of dieting/food fads. From living in East Asia and traveling all over, the only “{insert edible noun her}-free” things I heard about/noticed outside of the US were stores selling goods specifically for diabetics, and organic products shops. Don’t expect to sway me, but I’ll still lend you an ear.
