What do you think of when someone asks you about Irish cuisine? Potatoes? From Latin America. Whiskey? These days, that’s Japan. Soda bread? Ulysses? You could use a lesson or two…
This Saturday, March 12th from 4-8pm, the Refinery Hotel rooftop (63 W 38th St. by 6th Ave.) in Manhattan will host the fare plate celebration of Irish food and drink. For those of you unable to attend this food- and libation-filled event, don’t worry, as you can keep up-to-date with fare plate’s future plans @FAREPLATE. If you’re more broadly interested in Irish (expat or not) goings-on, pay a visit to the Irish Business Organization of New York.
I’ll see you there, because I too, could use a primer in Irish cooking.
